The latest release by un.procedure is an edit of the soundtrack taken from Themory, an audiovisual installation premiered by un.procedure at Manchester Jazz Festival in 2023. Often fluid and dreamlike, sometimes slightly unsettling, Themory tells a surrealist, collective story of family and history, place and time.

A relative departure from the band’s debut - a grittier and industrial take on the electronic jazz trio outfit - Themory is best enjoyed as an evocative journey, smattered as it is with choppy field recordings and abrupt changes of pace.

The music was supported through the Cheltenham Jazz Festival Jerwood Jazz Encounters programme, co-commissioned by Manchester Jazz Festival and supported by Jerwood Arts. With special thanks to Britten Pears and Snape Maltings for the use of their facilities in developing this music.
